Chocolate Chip Muffins

When considering creating a blog of my own, one motivating factor was that I would be able to record some of our favorite recipes and then know exactly where to go to find a recipe I wanted to use.  So, here we have recipe number one.  This morning I whipped up a batch of these muffins; they are my current go-to breakfast.  I seem to go through phases of what I eat for breakfast.  I will eat bagels for a while.  Then I get on a muffin kick.  Then it will be yogurt for a while. I don't know.  But I am always happier when my breakfast somehow includes chocolate. :)

This recipe is one I've come up with myself by taking from several different recipes and trying various combinations until I came up with what I liked best.  Oh, and I hope to put a picture each time I post a recipe, but do not have a picture of these at the moment.

Chocolate Chip Muffins
(makes about 2 dozen)
4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oats
6 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 bag chocolate chips
2 cups milk
2 eggs
2/3 cup oil

Mix all dry ingredients together.  Mix wet ingredients together and then stir into dry ingredients.  Put in greased muffin tins and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

Hi!

Well, here I am! I'm Jenna. I am a wife and mama and I have been considering starting a blog for a while, and now it is happening.  I hope this will be a place to share some of what I enjoy: spending time with family and friends, being in the kitchen and shopping for great deals, among other things.  More to come soon!
